The members of the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra are now tuning their instruments in an ultra modern event centre. The large hall in the newly built CityPalais can hold 1,750 and has been built with the finest acoustics. The seats by Walter Knoll were specially covered with perforated leather for this purpose. The result is worth both seeing and hearing.
