Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2009

This year’s international furniture fair in Milan has come to a close with a pleasing number of visitors as well as an air of cautious optimism. A successful fair for Walter Knoll.

The company presented both classics and new products at its stand which this year was one third bigger than at previous Milan fairs. The front line consisted of brand-new products by renowned architects and designers: from Norman Foster through Kengo Kuma to Claudio Bellini and Ben van Berkel. Separate rooms behind focussed on the Living Landscape range: sofas, armchairs and récamières with lasting appeal for the individual lifestyle. Compelling newcomers this year were the cantilever models George and George Lounge with their timeless design and particular precision.

With a variety of new contacts and consolidated partnerships, the presentation of the Walter Knoll brand at the Salone 2009 certainly made a significant contribution to international sales in this difficult economic climate.
