imm cologne 2011

All in all the first furniture fair of the year was more than positive. imm cologne 2011 hit exactly the right note with the industry with new concepts such as the “Living Kitchen” fair and the “Pure Textile” installation. The result: a significant increase in the number of visitors and a generally good atmosphere amongst the exhibitors.

The Walter Knoll stand stood out from the crowd with its outside walls covered in amorphous colour formations – “random signs”. The graphic concept and realisation were the work of “22quadrat”, an upcoming design agency from Osnabrück, Germany. Inside, Walter Knoll presented eight new products and extensions to the range in a truly cosy atmosphere: they included new armchairs and sofas, organic bucket seats, tables made of solid wood and elegant occasional tables. New fabrics and outstanding leathers in earthy, natural tones have been added to the Walter Knoll materials collection. They set trends in the premium market.
