Event Showroom London: Bridging the Gap
On 12 May 2011, on a warm spring evening, Walter Knoll and Sustinendi collaborated to host an evening of talks and discussion on sustainability and design in the Walter Knoll Showroom London. The talks focused on the design process from core component through to the final product.
Over one hundred invited guests - architects, dealers, designers, consultants and design aficionados – took up the invitation. Under the heading “Design for longevity”, Markus Benz, CEO of Walter Knoll, reported about the company’s overall attitude towards sustainability – starting from corporate social responsibility and architecture to the development of products. The talk from Stuart Oldridge of MCM Architecture focused on ideas to improve the understanding of sustainable objectives across the wider project delivery team and how these can be achieved in architectural projects. A really successful evening that gave rise to new insights and inspiring conversations.
