Mercedes-Benz Arena, Stuttgart, Germany
Fans are now close to the action at football matches, concerts and events since the modernisation of the Mercedes-Benz Arena. To convert the arena into a pure football stadium, the pitch was lowered and the athletics track gave way to the stands that now rise close to the edge of the playing area. The “Untertürkheimer Kurve” is home to the new Soccer Lounge; the business areas and boxes in the main stands were given a new interior design. People do not just come here to watch football; the arena is also the perfect venue for meetings, receptions and celebrations. The collaboration with Walter Knoll on furnishings for the boxes has proved its worth over the years. And you know what they say: never change a winning team.
