Hotel At Six

Art and design coexist within the walls of the hotel At Six, in the heart of Stockholm. A brutalist high-rise – built in the 70s on Brunkebergstorg Square – has been congenially transformed into a contemporary auberge by London’s Universal Design Studio. The architecture, a former bank, now boasts dark, monochrome interiors enlivened by soft, handcrafted accents, among them Walter Knoll’s Burgaz and Votteler chairs.

The “talk of the town” hotel with guest rooms spread on ten floors, a restaurant, two bars, plus events and work space, flaunts art pieces by Sol Le Witt, Jaume Plensa, Olafur Eliasson, and Tacita Dean. And, in the lush Nordic design tradition, décor reaches a touch of hygge thanks to bespoke pieces, lighting fixtures and exquisite leather details commissioned to local artisans and designers.
