The Hausa say: “When the music changes, so does the dance.” This design takes its name from the Swahili word for culture: Mpando. Intense and expressive, a green and an orange stripe stand out against a variety of nuances. 

Low-pile carpet made from 55% wool, 25% nettle and 20% silk.

Walter Knoll carpets have been developed in collaboration with fabric designer Helmut Scheufele and are inspired by the landscapes and colors of Africa. The collection draws its strength from the creativity of the continent Africa which materializes into timeless, woven works of art.
