Jangwa – desert in Swahili – is made from 33% Tibetan highland wool, 33% Chinese silk and 33% nettle fibers, and is reminiscent of Africa’s legendary stone and sand landscapes. An African proverb states: “If you get lost, you get to know the way.”

Walter Knoll carpets have been developed in collaboration with fabric designer Helmut Scheufele and are inspired by the landscapes and colors of Africa. The collection draws its strength from the creativity of the continent Africa which materializes into timeless, woven works of art.
