The Ayabi Chair transforms three-dimensionality into an experience. Delicate lightness, mathematically precise lines, and astonishing stability.
The chair’s visual lightness allows the beauty of its structure to shine through. Thus, despite its minimalist design, the Ayabi Chair embodies a sense of security and balance. What makes it special is the interweaving of its elements.
minimalism—as little material as possible, as much as necessary.

The combination of leather and steel creates a compelling yet harmonious contrast. The insert is fastened to the frame with buttons, ensuring that the wire mesh is no longer perceptible when seated. For the upper side, Saddle or Paco leather is available in a range of colours, while the underside is always finished in black.

The corrosion-resistant hybrid chair is designed for both indoor and outdoor use.

The design was created in collaboration with Dai Sugasawa. The Japanese-born designer draws on nature as a structural framework for his designs, which appeal to both the functional and the emotional. The Ayabi Chair is the result of a five-year development process.
